    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Baker McKenzie during my 3 week vacation scheme. I was given the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of work that was similar to the type of work that a trainee would be expected to carry out. I could tell the work I was engaging in was of real value to the firm and that was intended to challenge and engage me. Everyone I encountered within the firm took the time to speak with me and offer their support wherever I needed it.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • I was offered huge amounts of support for every task I was set and felt at ease asking any questioned I needed to ask to anyone I was working with because I was made to feel that they were very happy to spare their time to make sure I fully understood the work I had been set.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The work I engaged in and the activites I attended during the vacation scheme were very clearly carefully thought out and intended to provide us with a real insight into the firm and to teach us how to be a successful solicitor. I consistently knew where I needed to be and what I needed to be doing and the structure of the scheme ran extremely smoothly.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The firm is extremely inclusive and supportive of its vacation schemers. Every single memeber of staff I encountered made me feel welcome and encountered. The people working there all get on very well with each other and seem very willing to help and support one another.
