The Role
I enjoyed my internship beyond expectations. Meeting many new people I was able to interact with a diverse group of people enhancing the experience.
I was immediately welcomed into the team. It seemed that everyone no matter what level had an equal footing.
I was placed into a highly structured and organised environment from day one. My supervisor had a detailed plan of what I was going to be doing. I very quickly began to realise what was expected of me. They were also extremely approachable when I required support.
There was always something for me to do. Once I finished one project, I could instantly start working on another. I also became responsible for routine tasks day to day.
I was slowly given increasing levels of responsibility throughout my internship. By the end of my internship I was in charge of completing a wide range of tasks where deadlines had to be met.
I developed a variety of technical and soft skills that will prove to be invaluable throughout my degree. I attended excel training for a full day which was crucial in getting the most out of my internship. In addition, I was able to learn about the industry as a whole as well as acquire specific knowledge about the line of business i was working in.
The Company
The atmosphere of the office was highly fulfilling and exciting. It supported a highly creative and motivated work environment that drove my appetite for success.
We were given a detailed plan from day one during the induction. Also, we were constantly kept informed of upcoming events via email and the calendar. This ensured we knew when and where to be for a given day and what was required.
I feel the company invested sufficient amounts of time and effort. Evident through the training programs that we had to take online throughout the internship. In addition, we were able to sit with a range of different colleagues from different lines of business to get an overview of the company as a whole.

I believe my company offers an incredible array of prospects. The training is second to none. There is a clear path to promotion meaning you do not get saturated and are able to take on more responsibility. Furthermore, my role is rotational enabling one to learn about a variety of areas.
The Culture
There was a good social scene as my company set up a number of events that promoted this.
Cost of living was high which is expected being in London.
Nightlife was really good. You always had new places to explore that would be nearby.
There were a number of activities such as joining a sports team for example. They also set up charity events during my time at the company.
