  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Highly enjoyable experience, all the staff in the office were extremely approachable and kind.

  • At Ceres Energy a great balance of guidance and independent work made me feel like I was contributing in a positive way to the company.

  • There was always somebody who was willing to answer questions and regular interaction ensured we were on the right track.

  • The flow of work was busy yet manageable as we were able to plan in advance how to manage our time.

  • As the placement progressed the level of responsibility grew and I left feeling more confident in my ability to accept responsibility.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I commenced this placement in the summer before my final year of summer. I truly feel that this placement helped my focus and resillance and greatly helped me during my final year of study.

  • Everybody was very approachable and close. I quickly felt included amongst the other people in the office.

  • We were given an outline of what our internship would entail at the start. This allowed us to manage our time and produce work to a higher quality.

  • This internship improved my abilities on Microsoft Excel. I also gained skills in research which was an immense help during my final year of study.

  • I went to social events in both organised and unorganised groups with other colleagues.

  • Newcastle is a beautiful and affordable place to live whilst also being lively and fun, simply amazing.

  • The nightlife in Newcastle is cheap and fun, I am yet to find a better night out.
