The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship, it started off as a 10 week internship which was extended to 15 weeks. A flexible well run company which gives you opportunities to grow in your role within the company and as a person.
The colleagues were very helpful and listened and valued my opinion.
I was given a good level of guidance and support. I was given support to lead on things that I thought were important and then present it back to colleagues.
Busy to the level you would expect, but still had enough time to complete tasks to a the acceptable level.
An advantage in my opinion of working in a company the size of Ceres is you get exposure and responsibilities which in others you might not get. This meant producing models for certain incentives and producing reports for the company to use.
I now know more than I ever thought I would know regarding renewable natural gas! I have developed many different skills, using different programmes and had training provided by colleagues.
The Company
A very good atmosphere within the office. A weekly meeting takes place each week which means everyone is together and I felt I could approach any of my colleagues for help.
Very well organised even though I arrived after the other interns. Very flexible and always had tasks to do.
A lot especially for someone who was only staying originally for 10 weeks. Learnt a lot throughout the internship.
Financial Bonus
Very appealing, the location was my only problem otherwise I would have tried to extend my contract longer.
The Culture
I got along very well with the other Interns as well as colleagues.
The area is very cheap and the living is very cheap, especially compared to London!
Where the actual office is there is not however I lived in Newcastle which is a 40 minute drive which probably has the best nightlife in the country!
Colleagues played for sports teams and offered opportunities to join and come along to them
