    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Friendly, busy atmosphere in the office. The departments in Denham are open and you are free to work in different areas should you wish.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Bosch employs just under 100 students each year, across a number of fields, so it was well set up and organised. I had a hand-over period of 4 weeks with my previous intern and had regular contact with them before my internship.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • BUILD training programme providing essential intern development in areas such as communication and time management, followed by psychometric profile to help you understand your strengths and weaknesses better. Long handover period with my previous intern meant I could learn on the job training from day 1.

  • Bosch has a Graduate Scheme offering rotations in various areas and opportunities for travel.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Nearly 100 students employed over all sites and around 70 students in Denham. Being based near local universities such as Brunel and getting public transport such as a tube/train into London means that there is a good social scene amongst fellow placement students. Departments also have team days and events such as Christmas parties, so there are plenty of social events including the Denham Social Club.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Little higher than other areas being near the Greater London area, but worth it.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Good Nightlife being within easy reach of London.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Social Club offers team sports e.g. Badminton, Football and Pilates. Big student network so a lot of socialising outside of work.

    5/5
