  • Very well structured - we had a timetable of every event which took place and locations if applicable.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I found the firm were exceptional in investing in us - we were given work laptops for the week, given access to research resources, given stationary, provided with refreshments, socials were organised. All the firm had clearly invested in this experience to ensure the best experience was possible.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The work we were given and the general structure made it very easy to understand how we would spend time in this role. There were many opportunites to network and ask questions to other staff as well as overviews of departments which gave a run down of the kind of tasks each department would get involved in, clients, scope of work, etc.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Could immediately get a feel for the firm and how it operates. Networking opportunities helped show the kind of people who work at Squire Patton Boggs and confirmed it would be a great, friendly and fun firm to be a part of.

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Very helpful - overviews of departments, real tasks, presentations, networking - all allowed a real insight and understanding of what is involved in a solciito's job role. Made sure we all left with a real overview of the legal sector generally and tailored to the role of a solicitor - very helpful in giving practical insight into law (something different to learning from textbook at univeristy, etc)
