    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I was often asked my opinion and people would listen to what I had to say.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • y manager was very busy but if I had a problem he would make time for me. For general technical and day to day questions I had plenty of people I could turn to.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I had a mix of longer term projects and day to day activities. Sometimes something would take priority at short notice but would always have something to do.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was in charge of my own bodies of work and projects, all of which were necessary.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I developed will definitely help me in my future job.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The office was generally very quiet, but if you had a problem or a question people were happy to help. Often there would be people popping in and out which could be a distraction.

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It was very much self-driven and not prescribed, you were put into a role which the site required at the time.

    3/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There was a lot of training in terms of ways of working and good practice which were required by everyone on site. I was also able to go on a few professional training courses but that was when they were in house and happened to be running, My manager would look out for personal development opportunities for when they were outside of my scope of work and would put my name forward.

    4/5

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There weren't many placement students so while we were good friend and did meet up regularly, it was a bit hit and miss if people were busy .
