  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed the amount of responsibilty I was give, I did not feel I was treated as the student at all.

  • I felt very valued by my colleagues, I was treated as an equal member of the team and felt my input was appreciated by others.

  • I met with my manager weekly to discuss my work load, any issues I had and particular areas I wanted to explore.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • If I did not have enough work I would ask my supervisors for more.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given specific tasks for the study I was working on, these tasks were my own, I knew who I could turn to if I had any issues but it was my responsibility to complete them.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • You learn things whilst working that are not possible to learn from university. Some skills were specific to my job role but many were skills I will utilise in any area of life.

  • Within my team we were very socialable but the office as a whole was not as much.

  • As we were the first students for my manager there were certain procedures she did not know about until we told her, when we learnt it from other students.

  • I was givent the opportunity to attend many training sessions

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Whilst on my placement I was able to apply for a fast track process which allowed me to enter the graduate scheme application process at the telephone interview stage.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We made friends with some students from another site and met up with them for drinks after work.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • As I was living near London there were London prices

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The nightlife very close to me wasn't good but we were only 20minutes train ride away from Paddington and the nightlife in London was great.

  • I took part in the JP Morgan Corporate Chase.
