The Role
Great people to work with, very smart and helpful. The content of the job at a high level was very interesting to me, however most of the tasks I did were very repetitive and not that challenging, I would have enjoyed to experience sometimes something more complex, even if not directly helpful to the team but for me to understand the whole process dealt by the bank
Most of them have been very helpful to explain and give feedback, as well as to thank for my job. Not all of them though.
My supervisors were always available for explanations, often doing it by their initiative
I have been always very very busy and had to finish after hours. Only a couple of days during the whole internship period has been quite chilled.
I can say that I have been given pretty much responsability since many of the tasks I completed were documents for the direct use of clients or prospects.
I learnt a lot about financial markets thanks to the tasks I did everyday as well as the training addressed to interns as me. I also developed strong organizational and soft skills that are at least as much important for my future career.
The Company
I loved it. People were super in a good mood and relaxed, yet professional and productive.
It was fairly well organized but I did much more on a particular side of the business, less about the other
We had morning meetings among analysts guided by a smart managing director. We could assist to emea morning meetings and other meetings within the company globally. We had weekly trainings specifically addressed to interns. My supervisor tried to explain us some interesting topics everytime he could do so.
Company Parties/Events
The company is a global leader and the people, environment, training, practices, future possibilities that it can offer are a clear demonstration.
The Culture
The city is quite small so the social scene is limited.
I worked in Switzerland so the cost of living is very high. However the salary was in line with it.
The city is not a big one so the nightlife is not much exciting.
The city offers a wide range of outdoor sports, many different types of festivals especially during summer, parks and other locations for meeting people. However, shops and restaurants close early or stay even close on Sundays.
