    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Due to Procter&Gamble being one of the most interesting marketing firms in my opinion, I was very curious and had kind of high expectations. These have been fully fulfilled. Of course, I cannot know about my opportunity cost but I could not really imagine any other case in which my time is better spent.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • During my placement I felt really valued. My work was really appreciated, especially since I put in a lot of effort, For this reason, my work was actually used as a basis to consider further actions. In total I was an integrated and necessary part of the team which in my opinion is key if you want to learn a lot.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • During the insight, I received a lot of assistance from other people in my workplace. Even people I did not know were immediately offering their help once I looked a bit lost. On the contrary, people even approached me once they realised what my strengths are. Also employees of higher rank were very open and communicative to me.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I think one of the best thing about this internship at Procter&Gamble was all the transferable skills that I have gained as a result of all the networking event and activities. Skills like communication skills due to several presentation or my networking skills have improved significantly by talking to senior managers of Procter&Gamble.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere was throughout the internship was professional but very fortunately very relaxed and open at the same time. The culture at Procter&Gamble is very pleasant and everyone seemed friendly and enjoyed working there. In addition, the other interns were very motivated and ambitious individuals who made the whole experience much better.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The internship was very well structured. At first, me and the other interns were introduced everybody and the facilities were showed to us. Afterwards, we enjoyed regular sessions with our contact persons and various events were organised for the interns. Also within my project, my supervisor communicated clear expectations and goals.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company has invested a lot in me which I think will be very beneficial in my future career path. We have been through several activities, we were shown presentations about the career possibilities and had the chance to network with employees. Through this I have gained valuable skills that will be helpful later in life.

  • The summer internship at Procter&Gamble was very beneficial and showed me what it would be like to work there. The atmosphere was professional yet laid-back and everyone seemed to love what they are doing. Especially the chats with employees and managers were helpful to get a feel of what employees actually think about working at Procter&Gamble.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I can now imagine way better what it would be like to work for Procter&Gamble. We got a campus tour, talked to employees, had several activities designed to get to know the everyday life of the employees working there. Hence, it will provide you with a good understanding of the company. I can definitely say that the social scene is great and I would enjoy working there.
