  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Bloomberg made sure that everyone here has a really good time.

  • I was considered part of a real team, my opinions and contributions were taken seriously and were valued.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I learned a lot from them, whenever I got stuck or needed guidance, there was always a team member or mentor there to help.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I had plenty to do on most days but I was not required to overwork if something was not done.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Quite a lot of responsibility was given to me. I was involved in designing and then implementing software that was shortly after used in production.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I worked with knowledgeable people and they invested serious time in improving my skills. This part of the placement is probably what I appreciate the most.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • I wouldn't particularly call it a super fun environment, however it was very relaxed and easy going.

  • Insanely well organised.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They gave talks and held courses on different relevant technologies. My mentor and other team mates spent hours explaining and teaching which are a huge value.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • They haven't given me an offer at the time of writing yet, however it was strongly hinted that I am very welcomed back. I am very strongly considering coming back after my studies.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • It was really quite nice, it's good to work in an environment where people like to hang out with each other anyway.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The office is in the City of London, I believe this says enough about costs. On the other hand, the salary is more than adequate to make up for it.

  • It was right next to the area Shoreditch, which has a great night life.

  • There really were endless opportunities to do volunteering or other activities.
