The Role
I learnt so much during my placement, met with great people and felt motivated everyday. Everyone is interested in hearing your views from the first day. There is always a great opportunity to learn and improve both through informal training by colleagues and formal training courses.
My colleagues always made me feel invaluable and treated me as one of their peers. I enjoyed the culture of the team, we all fitted very well together.
My managers and supervisors always provided me with support and advise throughout the placement. They gave me tasks which were sometimes tough and out of my normal work which I always found interesting but they were always there to answer any questions I had and guide me.
I was usually always busy either because of my regular tasks or tasks I was involved in at the time. There was always something new to learn which kept things interesting and exciting as I was curious to learn more about role of Finance.
I had far more responsibilities than I initially thought. I was responsible for producing reports to HR, Information and corporate. Some month end reconciliation and journals which I was solely responsible for. GP payments, supplier and customer queries. At times I was involved with work directly for the Directors and CEO which would take priority over all of my other work.
The skills I have developed and the people I met have truly enriched me. This placement has helped me understand my strengths, development areas and my long term goals. Going forward i'm sure this great experience will help me in my studies, career and personal learning.
The Company
It was a really open and friendly atmosphere, everyone was very approachable within the company with the CEO and executives explaining during the induction day that anyone can approach them with any query. There is even an anonymous forum for you to ask any question and get a direct response from the CEO.
The placement is very well setup and organised with a 1-2 month handover period where the old Finance Trainee trains the new one.
The company invested in multiple training days for me while on my placement. Externally I took part in some character development courses such as influencing and persuasion skills. However I found Internal training by my colleagues helped in building my character far more than the external training.

Above 25 days holiday
The organisation generally made a great impression on me and i felt like I fitted well with the team and firm culture. Hence, I would love to return to work at Bromley Healthcare CIC as a full-time graduate employee.
The Culture
I got along well with all my colleagues and I will keep in contact with them. Sometimes we would hand out both while in the office and out.
The area seemed reasonably priced and affordable.
There was definitely a lack of nightlife around the area. However I lived far away so it didn't have an impact on me.
Unfortunately, activities outside of work were not frequent. When we engaged in activities outside of work, it was always good fun, whether it was company drinks, dinners or lunch breaks.
