About You
Enjoyed the experience very much. Very useful to see the inner workings of such a successful company. Everyone there was extremely helpful and friendly.
Everyone helped keep me up to date on clients and current projects so I knew what was going on throughout meetings and email threads which was very helpful. I didn't feel too out of my depth at all.
Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, some even taking time out of their busy schedules to go through confusing projects with me to ensure I understood.
The insight helped me discover what I will enjoy doing beyond my Business degree, and narrowing down where I would like to work in the future.
The Company
The insight was very well structured with all the equipment provided and a schedule laid out for me so I knew what I was doing for the week. I received many emails and phone calls confirming I knew how to get to and from the office and letting me know what I will be doing roughly throughout the week too.
Everyone was really friendly and very understanding of my limited knowledge. Was a really nice environment and I can picture myself working within such a place in the future.
I spent a lot of time shadowing employees to understand what it would be like if I were to work there. From Associate level to Partner level, so I witness a broad range of jobs taking place and got the gist of what would be required of me at each individual level.
I'd already researched a lot about the culture of the firm before arriving at PwC but first hand experience showed me it was somewhere I'd love to be a part of.
Leading on from the insight I am applying for the 2018 September graduate role as I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would love to be a part of the team. It was a really good experience and I would recommend it to anyone interested in any aspects of accountancy.
Everything Else
The insight was a paid experience but if you were travelling to client sites during the day you were also reimbursed any expenses.
The offices were very open with dining areas on each floors with coffee machines, where people often met up at lunch times. I was also invited out to client drinks and dinner, which helped not only meeting employees within PwC but also expanding my networking into other companies too.
There are many sports teams throughout the company such as Hockey, Cricket, Football etc. These are across all departments too so you get to meet a lot of people throughout the firm.
Yes, I would highly recommend this experience to anyone. It really helps narrow down your future career path, with opportunities to lead to a full summer internship or a graduate job and if not it is great for the CV.
