About You
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight week. It was a great opportunity to really see what a job in Technology Risk would involve.
I felt very valued during my time. I was always invited into meetings if there was ever a spare moment and always had someone to go to lunch with. They invited me to the work quiz social which was great fun.
I shadowed a different person every day. Majority of the employees guided me very well each day although a couple of employees had forgotten that I was shadowing them so had no plans for the day and left me alone for a period of time with no work to do.
It was very interesting to observe meetings with so many members run so smoothly and I will definitely try and use those time management skills in my final year of uni.
The Company
I was very impressed that a laptop and email address was ready for me first thing on Monday. Other than one employee forgetting I was shadowing them, it was a very well structured week.
The atmosphere of the office was very welcoming and I liked the fact the employees felt comfortable to take a couple of minutes from work to talk about things in the news.
As it was only a week long insight, there was not much opportunity in personal training or development. But the insight definitely improved my confidence in talking to new people.
It was very insightful to what a full time role with the company would be like.
I think the company social was a great opportunity to really understand the company culture. As was the graduate induction presentations that I observed.
It was very interesting to understand what training and development opportunities there are at the company.
Everything Else
I was paid and reimbursed for my travel to the Cardiff office.
The social event was a great opportunity for networking.
Very well organised, I felt like a full time employee. I was also given the opportunity to visit another PwC office which meant I could network more.
Yes, I found out about the hockey team and the glee club.
It is a really great opportunity to learn more about PwC.
