The Role
I was given lots of responsibility and worked on a range of different clients over the year. I also enjoyed the fact that I joined with a large group of like minded people.
I always felt like my work was appreciated and that it contributed to the larger picture.
Management/supervisors were always on hand to offer support/guidance should you need it.
There was always work to be done and I was rarily not busy during the placement.
You are given lots of responsibility on the placement, often being assigned particular areas to work on for your time at each client.
I am doing accounting and finance at Cardiff University so the placement will help me a lot. I also sat some proffesional exams during my placement which will assist me greatly in my final year of university
The Company
Everyone was friendly and there was regular events to attend.
The placement is basically the first year of the graduate scheme, you sit a few exams aswell as working.
The firm put me through some professional accounting exams and also offer you courses to attend to progress you.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
I have been offered a job after I finish my degree.
The Culture
I joined with around 20 people in South Wales who were on the graduate scheme and placement scheme. There were regular events that we could attend and we often socialised outside of work.
South Wales is a relatively cheap area with a good variety of nightlife.
As above, South Wales has a lot of nightlife, be it in Cardiff and Swansea.
There was often activities occurring outside of work. Emails often circulated for other events that you could take part in.
