  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a good year, very challenging and different on a day to day basis. Also got to put into practice knowledge I had gained from uni.

  • Enterprise is very team orientated, and each individual branch and area works like a huge family

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was assigned a mentor from the start of my placement, and had constant feedback from my branch and assistant manager. I also had development meetings with my area manager to go through my future career steps

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very busy with customers and delivery and collection of vehicles, but if you can manage your time well you have plenty of time to work on your development folders and other parts of the business

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Lots of responsibility, very often had the opportunity to run the fleet and cover managers if needed

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I've built up lots of confidence and people skills in this role, and have learnt more about the ins and outs of the business include finance, operations, risk, marketing, sales etc

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Very good atmosphere, you spend a lot of time with you branch so it becomes like a family, and there is always something fun or exciting happening

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Well organized with lots of training days, stage tests and development tools. There is a set programme to follow with room to move through the training and stage tests quickly or a bit slower. Within the year you also move branches, which is communicated from the start.

  • Enterprise promotes from within so you spend a lot of time in training and development sessions to make sure you are ready for management roles in the future

  • Good Promotional prospects and a potential to earn a significant amount of money

  • There are regular social events such as branch meals and area nights out, and Enterprise has a very young workforce so there is lots of socializing
