    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The people the company attracts are generally very social and fun to work with. Work is never boring. Though the hours are long, which does detract from fun.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt like a full member of the team and whenever help was needed it was given freely. Never patronizing, always helpful. They gave the opportunity to fail and get better at your role in all instances. Became full working member of the team well within the time frame of the internship

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Always helpful. Never had a question un-answered. Support structure was great, vey friendly.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Busy enough that the long hours did fly by. Not often so busy it was getting to me.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was a fully functioning member of the team as I say. I was given as much responsibility, if not more, than the full management trainees. This meant I saw quite a few different sides of the business and got a lot more sales exposure than management trainees who had been there comparable time.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Have yet to return to studies so can't comment.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Jovial. Friendly. Worked hard when work needed to be done.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Fairly seamless. Process was fairly quick. Talked to actual humans at every stage of application. Has a training session 2 weeks before ending which was a bit pointless.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They made full use of me in the best way possible. I felt valued.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Financial Bonus

    Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Progression is fast. Can be a branch manager in as little as 2 years of employment on average 35-40K. Or move to another area of business

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yeah everyone was super friendly during training and branch atmosphere is very enjoyable.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Low as you can work anywhere you like in the UK

    5/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Poor but that's where I live

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yeah there were staff nights out, meals and after work drinks.

    4/5
