    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Really good fun, very well catered for with plenty of recreational time and activities

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • We were very quickly integrated with both the other people on the academy but also with the members of the firm who were both friendly and approachable

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Continuous support and guidence was available so you always knew what you were supposed to be doing and how you were supposed to be doing it!

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There was a well structered timetable that managed to fit in all the work that needed doing with plenty of time to let our hair down!

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • This is not a negative, it was an academy where the emphgasis was on learning and development - responsibility was not an aim and so was not present.

    2/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Very much so, the whole aim of the experience was to develop leadership skills and this was done in a very effective manner that will help not only in the workplace but beyond into everyday life.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Again this question isn't really applicable as the leadership acadmeny is not in an office per se, however the general atmosphere was one of hard work but also enjoyment

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Communication was brilliant, transport provided, forms on time and consise, everybody knew what they were doing, faultless.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • It was essentially a free holiday and training programme with no strings attached. Can't get any more of an investment than that!

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    National Travel

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Encouraged to make an application, and presence on the academy helped me accelerate through the application procedure.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Everyone got on very well, and have since met up outside of the academy.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • We were only in a hotel for 3 days, so this question isn't really appliciable.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • We were only in a hotel for 3 days, so this question isn't really appliciable.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • We were only in a hotel for 3 days, so this question isn't really appliciable.

    3/5
