The Role
It was a definitely positive experience for myself, with welcoming colleagues and a well supported internship program with help wherever and whenever it was needed.
One thing my colleagues always ensured is to always display praise for the work I would do and also how it adds value to the client
Due to the fact of having little auditing experience prior to the internship, great amounts of guidance on how to complete tasks and use different programs and functions was given, enabling me to do my best at the tasks assigned.
Very good balance between being idle and being so busy that breaks were not possible. Yes there were a few long hours but the atmosphere the team provides and the teamwork spirit certainly helps to get all tasks completed.
Surprisingly, a lot of responsibility and trust in terms of autonomy on the tasks i was given, was placed with me. As long as I understood the tasks and the team were assured by this, I had relative autonomy over doing and completing tasks.
The skills will definitely help me in the future as I am planning to accept the graduate job offer they have given, and would definitely give me an edge once i start next year.
The Company
Definite balance between work and fun.
Very little was not thought of for this program, as the training, induction and client work was very well organised.
By the way the induction program and the client work given was done, clearly shows that the firm is motivated to keep us as interns and would invest in us to ensure this, hence the graduate job opportunities presented.
National Travel
Very appealing, as I received a graduate offer.
The Culture
Not many opportunities were present, but there was an office party we as interns helped organise as well as end of week drinks.
Very good, considering it is within the M25.
No idea, as we never experienced it.
We were given extra curricular opportunities such as joining the football games every week.
