The Role
I have enjoyed my internship a lot. Over just 6 weeks I have gained some really valuable experience, met a lot of great people and gained an insight into how PwC functions as a firm.
Despite being an intern, I felt as if I was part of the team. I also believe that the work I was involved in was valued.
I was given guidance and any help necessary from a number of people in management. I never felt awkward when asking questions.
I always had a task to be getting on with but there was a lack of variety in what I was doing. I feel I could have been more busy.
I was given enough responsibility to perform chargeable work for clients.
The technical skills I have developed could greatly assist me in my degree and future career depending on the route I take. There are lots of jobs that value the skills that I have gained on the internship.
The Company
The atmosphere was calm but professional.
There was a lack of structure at times but I always had work to be getting on with.
For a 6 week intern, it seemed as if a lot was invested in me. Hours of training and inductions.
I will find out within a couple of weeks after finishing the internship whether I have been offered a graduate position.
The Culture
There was a very good social atmosphere between all the interns. We were often encouraged to interact and network with each other.
The cost of living in Bristol is high.
There is a lot to do in Bristol in terms of night life.
There were often after work activities such as quizzes and social gatherings.
