  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • My internship at Jaguar Land Rover surpassed my expectations. It has been a very rewarding experience and a great opportunity for me to learn and develop various skills. I have been given the opportunity to understand the work done by my department, as well as the work done on a business scale.

  • My department showed great interest in offering the appropriate training to allow me to make the most of my internship. I have been given the opportunity to learn and work on different areas receiving support and guidance throughout my time at JLR.

  • My supervisors showed great interest in the work that I was doing and always made themselves available to support me and answer any questions I might have had.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I have been kept busy throughout my time at Jaguar Land Rover. I was given an individual project to work on, as well as other tasks to support the daily workings of the team.

  • I was given my own project to manage and had the responsibility of managing my work and planning my schedule alone.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Even though the work that I have been doing at Jaguar Land Rover does not directly relate to my university studies, I still allowed to develop my vehicle knowledge. I have been given the opportunity to develop general skills such as my interpersonal skills as well as practice my presentation skills and how to address different audiences.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The office atmosphere was very positive. Everyone is very approachable and willing to offer help in any way they can. The office environment is very open and has encouraged me to develop as an individual, be more open and work with others in a better way.

  • The internship was very well organised. My work outline and the expectations had been clearly defined and I followed a very structured way of working.

  • My department showed that they valued my time with them and tried to give opportunities to learn and develop my skills, while also producing work that is valuable for them.

  • Because of the scale of the organisation there are various opportunities to get involved and various different areas you can work in and experience, something which I find very interesting.

  • Yes

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The cost of living was not high, however the area in which I had to live during my placement was not the best place to live or socialise.

  • The area I lived in during my placement was very close to Coventry City Centre.
