The Role
Really enjoyed everything.
My team were apprehensive at first but as I completed work they put more and more trust in me.
Guidance was there when I needed it. A couple of situations where I didn't get the guidance I needed was out of my teams control.
Varied, sometimes very very busy, and sometimes very quiet. This is due to working on a single project, so if there was an issue then could not continue until the issue was resolved.
Though initially the team did not treat my project with much importance, part way through the internship it was picked up by another team and the work I had done became much more important.
Came in with very little experience in the area, so touch start, but learnt a great deal that I could not have learned as part of my degree.
The Company
Always really open and could go up to team member or another intern for a chat about work. Open plan office meant that help was easy to get from other team members too. Unfortunately this was sometimes a problem as people would come for help when you were busy!
Very very organised, almost over organised!! We had many activities and meetings set up for us to learn about the company and different departments. As well as some socials that were also organised well so it wasn't all work!
Had access to learning tools and had a number of meetings with some higher ups in the company. This allowed us to get lots of information and learn from experienced individuals.

Very interested in the grad program, and hoping to get an offer at the end of this internship.
The Culture
Very good. The organisers did a good job or putting the other interns in contact with each other early on in the process. So when we started we all had an idea of who everyone was so socialising was made a lot easier. The organisers of the internship also made sure to put some effort into having us network, which initially I didn't enjoy, but I soon understood the benefits. There was a bit less interaction with interns from different departments, but this is somewhat expected because of the different locations.
Would normally be quite expensive but the company paid for most of what I join in with!!
Good, but not something I was much interested in.
Lots of opportunities within the company. As part of the internship there were sessions put together for us to learn about these opportunities too.
