  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • You are assigned a Line Manager and a Buddy however you'll find that anyone around you in the office is willing and able to provide support and guidance, regardless of how small your problem/question is.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Relatively busy, on top of the 2 projects you are assigned (one Life and one GI) you are given assignments to test a range of skills. Also approximately one day a week is allocated to training. However you will rarely find yourself working past 5/6pm.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Depending on the project and project team size, you can be given a lot of responsibility. Some of my projects had around 3-4 members so I was responsible for key tasks that had deadlines and a part to play in the final output.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The use of in-house software such as ResQ and Igloo was very beneficial since a significant number of insurers within the industry use them too. The training and knowledge obtained will certainly help in future interviews and jobs.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

  • Company Parties/Events
