    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Very very very enjoyable, would definitely recommend. Everybody I worked with was lovely, and all the other interns were lovely too. There was also lots planned for us so we really got to know everyone very well.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I was never left doing mundane jobs that a monkey could complete. Everything was explained clearly to me (which meant I learnt a lot) and in turn the work I was able to complete of the internship became more in depth as the programme went on.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • If I had any questions, I never felt unable to ask, every one was lovely and very helpful. I was never made to feel like a question was stupid.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I always had something to do. I never felt stressed and like I had too much work either - just the right amount.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a good level of responsibility, I was given tasks which were new to me and of course someone always looked over the work I had done, which I was grateful for as they could always point out any mistakes or areas of improvement and I could learn from them.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I gained will definitely help me when I start my graduate role. I feel like I have a head start as I already have an idea of how the company works and what a role within my department is like.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Very friendly, everybody got on with their task at hand but we often went out for lunch or socialised after work. It was a very friendly atmosphere.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well organised, all the things that were planned for us were really really good fun and also great learning experiences. We always had something to look forward to. I am sure the people who organised it all worked very hard, but their hard work paid of as it really was an excellent internship.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We were all taken on a presentation workshop which was held in the company's country manor, I learnt things from this day that will always help me, including in my final year at university. I really didn't expect something like this and was very impressed. Was a great experience.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Company Parties/Events

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I was extremely grateful to be offered a graduate role within the departments that I worked in and look forward to joining next September.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • All the interns and all colleagues were very sociable and welcoming, got along well with everyone and had some great times.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I already live locally so the cost didn't really affect me too much.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • 4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were lots of things going on outside work for us to get involved in. Every week there was at least 1 thing going on outside work which we were invited to do.
