    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I very much enjoyed this internship, it has been well structured, the workload has been manageable, also EY is a friendly place to work within, full of talented people around.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone was super nice to me. Colleagues in my team delegated tasks to me with trust and confidence, they also gave me valuable feedbacks so I can improve.

  • My manager and supervisors cared for me, they were always there with patient when I needed help, they are the key factor for this successful internship.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Depend on the status of the engagement, there were times I was busier than usual. However, the workload has always been manageable and enjoyable.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • For whichever work I am capable of, I draft the initial version of such piece of work, and it was important to get them right according to standards at the first place, so it saves time for my team on alterations.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • With no doubt, the skills I obtained here will help me completing my academic journey, e.g. the research methods. Furthermore, when I come back here for the return offer a year later, I will be equipped with essential skills from the beginning.

  • It has been a professional atmosphere, we all enjoy working in the team, and people are very friendly.

  • It has been well structured, I always knew what to do next, who should I approach if I am struggling with things.

  • The working laptop is one of the best tools, as well as online trainings for essential business skills, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint and etc.

  • This is the place where I definitely desire to start my career with, the skills and experience I would gain within the organization will benefit my for a lifetime, and make me standing out in any business environment.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The social life was colorful here, we regularly gather together and catch up over drinks.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Socializing is fun but also expensive, cost of living is a nightmare. Renting and transport are expensive and below standards.

  • Expensive, below standard.

  • Plenty throughout the internship, e.g.interesting talks and conferences.
