The Role
Obviously work will never be as fun as free time, but for work, this was pretty good
While I couldn't do as much as my colleagues, I feel I did a solid amount of audit and was useful to the team
People gave very clear instructions for what I needed to do
For the first few weeks I kept running out of work, but then I moved to a larger project which was better at keeping me busy
I did a solid chunk of the audit myself. Other people would check the work afterwards, I believe, but I was left to work for myself for a good chunk of it.
They're probably not too useful for my degree, as I don't do accountancy, but it'll be very useful if I'm working in accountancy later.
The Company
There's a lot of young people, and people are fairly chill provided you get the work done
The training section in particular felt very polished
They paid for us to go to London and get loads of free drinks and meals and training, it must've cost loads, probably.
Company Parties/Events
I'd be keen to do a grad position if they want me
The Culture
We went out for intern drinks every week, and had some social things with larger chunks of the office
We had drinks at Wetherspoons, and I lived at home, so very affordable
There's a lot of clubs and stuff, although that's not really my thing
There was a company football team, I think, but I don't really like football
