The Role
I really enjoyed my first work placement as it enabled me to find what I enjoy within the Accountancy.
At PwC, the teams which I worked all made me fee l very welcomed enabling me to settle into the teams quicker than I thought I would.
For the entirety of the 6 weeks I have had a mentor who has helped out with any issues which I had encountered enabling me to excel and have a wonderful experience at the company.
This varied massively as some days I would have to work overtime and some days I was able to leave early due not having much on.
The exposure and responsibility given to me was overwhelming and unexpected. On my first day I was put in front of a client and was given the chance to broaden my networks both in the company and with clients.
Within the accounting world, paying great attention to detail is essential in order to protect and promote the PwC brand.
The Company
My general experience in the office was good and was beyond expectations.
The organisation of the internship was very good across the entire 6 weeks as I was always scheduled on jobs and never forgotten about.
Over the past 6 weeks the company heavily invested in me to the extent to which i believe I have strengthened my credentials and personal attributes.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
With PwC they are very appealing and I would love to stay at the company.
The Culture
Weekly there are always people going out for drinks after work which is a great chance to get to know some of my fellow interns and work colleagues
Due to living at home, the cost of living was relatively cheap and socialising was very easy.
The nightlife in Manchester is very good and there are always broad options to choose from.
There are many sport events after work including: cricket, football and golf all of which can be attended if you have the time.
