    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Due to Deloitte being one of the most interesting audit firms in my opinion, I was very curious and had kind of high expectations. These have been fullly fulfilled. Of course, I cannot know about my opportunity cost but I could not really imagine any other case in which my time is better spent.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I felt really valued in my internship since everybody was quite friendly and helped me along with most of my tasks. Nobody was ever mad at me even when I did a major mistake. People were even keen on networking with me and invited me for lunch. Besides, my work was appreciated and my research was actually used as the basis for others.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • During my insight, I received quite a lot of guidance. Everybody was eager to help me. Sometimes, peole seemed to not be approachable and a bit stressed, but I guess this depended a lot on the situation and time. And I can imagine it to be similar all over the audit/accounting/consulting industry. As long as you are not too unhappy working independently and figuring stuff out yourself, you will have a great time at Deloitte.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I developed extremely many different skills. While unviersity is giving you the general concepts, an internship is really providing the opportunity to be practical and actually make use of what you have learned at uni so far. I can only speak for myself but Accenture is doing a really good job at making you learn the right things.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The structure of my insight was good. Communication and information flow were well organised and I did not face a work overload. On the one hand, I was required to work really hard, but as soon as I people realised that I put in all possible effort, people began to trust me and grant me more freedom.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • I was very surprised about the general atmosphere at Deloitte. I heard from experiences from other students that the atmosphere will boring and nothing exciting. Yet I have met incredible smart people who were working for Deloitte or joined the Programme as well. Hence, in my view the atmosphere was awesome.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The internship put great emphasis on self-development and after my few days I can definitely say that I have grown as an individual. I became more confident and worked on my soft skills which not only be helpful for my degree but also my personal life. The activities were specifically tailored to gain a great feel what it would be like to work at the company.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Being present at the company itself, talk to people at Deloitte and to listen to their company presentation definitely helped me to gain an understanding of what it would be like to work for Deloitte. However, I am not sure if I can say now if I want to work there later but it was a great impression nevertheless.

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • The company culture is great and full of passion and motivation. It makes you better person and gives you an incentive to become better. Everyone is extremely talented and smart. But this is exactly the culture or environment you want to be. If you talk with employees or play close attention it will more than enough to gain an understanding of the culture.
