About You
Enjoyed the placement because I was able to ask lots of questions and gain an insight into what the job is actually like.
I didn't always feel as though I was being given lots of work to do but this isn't surprising when I don't have the skills or knowledge that is required for many tasks.
Quite a lot. If I asked questions they were very willing to help as best as possible.
Little help with my degree studies but extremely helpful for future career decisions and preparation.
The Company
Well structured and organised however first day in the office after the induction lacked clarity.
Very friendly. Did get an idea about the real feelings of auditor and how they find their job.
Mandatory training completed but nothing audit specific.
Lots of information from speaking to people.
Learnt a lot about KPMG and what it is like to work for them.
Gave me lots of useful information to help with my decision making.
Everything Else
£3.20 allowance for lunch in office staff canteen, £4 allowance for when working at client site.
Yes some.
Good experience but not the most enjoyable aspect of the scheme.
Told lots about the socials. Also heard about sports opportunities.
Great insight into the firm. Learn lots about audit and what it is like to work at KPMG. Able to ask lots of questions to many different people.
