    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Not only were you able to experience two different seats but many events were put on especially for vacation scheme students, such as a pro bono day, practice group talks, diversity and inclusion afternoon tea, and many more events.

  • Everyone was welcoming, valued every idea you had and was willing to answer any questions.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Before every seat you were set objectives to meet and had a review meeting at the end of each week to go over your progress. Everyone was so welcoming. Anyone would be willing to support you, if you had a query.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • From doing the vacation scheme I developed my research skills, how to problem solve, and work independently, among others, which will assist me in my degree studies and beyond.

  • Very well structured, and you were given a timetable at the beginning of the three weeks, and readily informed of any updates to the schedule.

  • Very welcoming, but a hard working environment too.

  • Through the objectives this allowed vacation scheme students to personally develop their skill set.

  • As stated many events were put on for vacation scheme students with the aim of allowing us to gain a real insight into the firm, so we could determine whether this was a firm in which we would like to work at.

  • Alot, there is no other way to experience a firm's culture, unless you are there for a significant period.

  • It 100% reaffirmed that I wanted to be a solicitor at a global commercial law firm.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • All travel expenses and hotel accommodation in London, on the induction four days was paid for, if you were doing your vacation scheme in a regional office.


  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • You were able to network constantly, as many employees were willing to chat and answer questions at any point.
