    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It is an enjoyable placement but is hard work. It is not for someone who wants a normal 9-5 role

  • The team are very welcoming and always keen to help you settle in. The team are keen to make the placement as valuable an experience as possible.

  • It depends on who you get as a line manager - a key thing to do is set out what you want from them.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • It is a busy role on site.

  • If you ask for it you will be given responsibilities on projects.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The training available is amazing - there are a wide range of training courses that you can attend and management are keen for you to progress. The skills I have learnt on placement will definitely help me in final year and graduate schemes.

  • Depends on the project. Most site offices are fun. The office are more corporate and serious.

  • There is a set placement programme which is very well organised

  • I have had the opportunity to attend a wide range of courses.

  • They are appealing if you are looking to work in London. Regionally there are limited opportunities

  • If you are London based yes. Regionally no.

  • I worked away and was paid benefits so did not have any living costs to pay for.

  • There are sports teams within the organisations - although I did not get involved with them
