The Trainer I sat with was very helpful and detailed in explaining complicated financial concepts, terms and deals. I gained a lot of practical knowledge during my placement.
The Vacation Scheme helps a lot in understanding what would a Trainee do at the firm. You also interact a lot with the Associates, and while you might not get to do the highly complex work that Associates are doing, you get a good feel on what their lifestyles (work life balance) are like, what is the atmosphere in terms of hierarchy in the firm and such.
A must do for anyone, who is struggling to understand the difference between different Law Firms. Vacation Scheme is the perfect opportunity to get the feel of the firm and work here.
It only strengthened my firm interest in Commercial Law.
Vacation Scheme students get paid really well for the 2 weeks spent here. The food in the canteen, while not reimbursed, is subsidised by the firm, which significantly lowers your planned expenses fro food in a city like London.
The HR team was fantastic in organising different events, where people could network with wide range of people, from Trainees during drinks and BBQ to Partners during a fancy dinner at Hotel.
Incredible choice of Pro-Bono projects to get involved in, as well as Sports Clubs, Sports Classes at the gym, organised seminars, talks, lunches and so on. The list is endless.
