The Role
I have absolutely loved working at Disney. When applying for internships it was the only one that I truly wanted, and it has 100% lived up to my expectations.
I feel very valued by my colleagues and know I have made friends for life.
Both my manager and supervisor have been amazing. I have such a great relationship with both of them and feel like I can speak and ask them about anything. Personal and professional.
It can vary. I never have NOTHING to do, which I like because otherwise I could be bored. But there are times when we have a lot of projects on and deadlines to meet where you just have to put your headphones and get on with your work.
The perfect balance! I have enough responsibility regarding handling projects, but not enough to the point I could ruin it! There are times when my supervisor goes on holiday so I have a lot more, but I enjoyed being able to step up and show what I am capable of.
The skills I've learnt, both personally and professionally will help me in my degree, my confidence and getting a job after uni.
The Company
Everyone is always in high spirits. We have the perfect balance between fun and work.
I feel like on Disney's side every ran really smoothly. Perhaps my uni could of contacted me more though.
Everyone was really helpful, especially when it came to gathering research for my dissertation. My director set me up with the people who would be able to help me the most and I am really grateful for that!
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
I would absolutely love to go back to Disney after uni!
The Culture
Yes massively. You tend to usually stick with who is in your team/on your floor. However the other interns I have met on this journey I have become incredibly close with. We have done things out side of work, visited eachother at home, and had sleepovers!
I commuted from Reading as that is where I am from, and the train was just shy of £500 a month. Hammersmith/London is expensive to live in, so I would saving a bit before you start!
Nightlife was excellent, London has so many different areas for everyones taste!
Yes lots. Disney have a volunteering scheme, team days, events, movie premieres. Everything!
