The Role
I had a lot of fun a lot of the time. There were some boring bits but I enjoyed going to work everyday!
The team was small at the time and the intern help was obviously appreciated.
There was a good balance of support and independence, but it was more independent which worked really well.
There was always something to do, even from the first few days.
There were 2 interns in the office, we each had a great deal of responsibility when it came to the coffee morning event.
I wrote myself a set of personal objectives at the beginning of the internship, I achieved almost all of these. I think things I have picked up will be benefical to my degree and even more so when going into work.
The Company
It was a nice place to work although I was probably out of the office more than I was there.
The national scheme was set up quite well. The local office began as fairly organised but it was a constantly changing environment.
There was an excellent range of internet resources, but I did'nt really have enough time to use the. There was basic training. We were offered a media training course. We had a comprehensive induction and wrap-up day. I also had a mentor from the area in which I want to work.
Subsidised Canteen
I think that there are good future prospects.
The Culture
I got on well with the other intern and the social scene will probably improve now we have finished!
Fairly average as far as I am aware (it was where I live anyway)
Not far from both Leeds and Wakefield city centres.
Not really at the time as we were too busy, but there will be activities we can get involved in in the future.
