The Role
My year at Disney has been unforgetable and I have met some of the best people. I have made life long contacts and it ha sbeen a great start to getting findig my feet in the TV world!
As I became more confident in the work I was doing I found that my colleagues began to trust me in bigger situations.
I felt very supported throughout my year at Disney. I worked in a very small team with only 2 others and conatantly felt like they were there to guide me whenever I was unsure.
As I was working on projects, there were weeks where there was not much to do but the next week could be busy and full of planning etc. I was never bored whilst on placment as there was always somethign to oragnise and do!
Towards the end of my placement I began to feel like I was valued more by the team and that I was given a lot more responsibility when it came to certain tasks.
Throughout my year at Disney I have learnt skills which will remain with me through my final year and uni and will stay with me when I enter the world of work again. The placement job role itself was everythign which my course is about!
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was amazing! It is such a fun company to work for with a real buzz and thrill form the moment you walk in to when you leave. There is a very good intern network as well as there are so many of us!
Throughout my year I felt like it was very much driven by what projects were happenign at that moement in time. The overall organisation was brilliant, luckily I was given a really great handover by the previous intern so I have adapted where needed :)
There were many options to better my skills with a whole sight labelled 'D Learn'. Whilst I was here I have had the oppurtunity to go on a First Aid Training course and also have elarnt plenty more skills within the system of Premiere.

I would love to come back and work for Disney. There are quite a lot of people who have come back after being here and are stil here now.
The Culture
There was a fdantastic intern network with over 200 of us working here! I developed some of my closest friends here and have met so many people who I never met from my Univeristy before!
Luckily I loved at home which was only about 45 mins on the tube. Disney is in Hammersmith which is Zone 2 (not quite central) the cost is average priced but it depends where you go! Some places are cheap but others can be quite expensive!
Disney is based in Hammeramith and there are plenty of pubs and bars which everyone heads to on a Friday :)
Other than what we organised oursleves, Disney didnt provide any outside parties/oppurtuninites for us to socialise outside of work.
