The Role
I came into this role not really knowing what to expect. I have been astounded by the amount of real responsibility given to us as interns. The work is interesting, challenging and beneficial to career development. Getting up for work in the morning is not a chore as each day brings with is new and exciting opportunities.
As an intern, it's easy to feel like your opinions don't matter. However, this couldn't be further from the truth. Your opinions are considered extremely valuable and carry a lot of weight in the office. This allows you to feel confident in the office and progress without feeling anxious. Everyone is also really nice and the social scene is quality.
I couldn't have asked for a nicer manager. There is never a stupid question and the patience they showed was beyond belief. They credit your work to their supervisors which makes you feel really valued as an employee.
The workload was challenging but it allows you to develop organisation and time management. It's actually quite a nice feeling to come into work and have your own set of tasks without having to bug your manager for work
The real responsibility is phenomenal. I come in in the morning and have a set of tasks specific to me that I can crack on with. I don't have to bug my manager for extra work. The work itself is challenging and the credit you get from management is very rewarding
Doing a placement has developed me not only on a professional level but on a personal level as well. I feel far more confident and
The Company
Very friendly. Everyone was extremely approachable and patient. You get a sense that they want the best for you in the future. I believe I have made some friends for life
Extremely organised. I joined and had a clear and well thought out hand over which meant that i settled fast and could crack on.
They invested the time and training that have provided me with transferable skills for life. I now have knowledge and skills on certain pieces of software etc that will give me so much to talk about in job interviews in the future

Working for ESPN would be a dream come true for myself.
The Culture
Absolutely amazing social scene. Whether it was work drinks or 5-a-side football, there was always something to do.
Being London, you have to be savvy with your money. However it is very doable if you're sensible and you will never feel like you're missing out
Awesome nightlife. Bit too good maybe...
I joined various football teams, but there was also the potential for many more activities.
