  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • A superbly well organised and enjoyable week with the other students on the Insight Week.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • When carrying out the project part of the week we had help from various Danone employees and when presenting our SWAT analysis we had a Q&A from senior employees giving us valuable practice in a business environment.

    • The week was very well scheduled and I always felt we had a good level of guidance and support with the various aspects of the week.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • Gained valuable presentation and group work skills which is something I hadn't experienced so much at University. These skills will also be important in my upcoming placement year.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Very well structured consisting of talks from all different Danone departments a 24 hour group SWAT analysis project with time at the end of the week for individual feedback.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and always willing to give us a hand with our projects and presentations.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • Before starting the week we filled out personality questionnaires and using these Danone provided us with a detailed analysis of our work place personality and work style which has helped hugely and will continue to help my personal development in the future.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • Talking to recent graduates at Danone gave great insight into working for the company.

    • Through the presentations by different departments the company culture was always discussed and it is clearly very important to everyone at Danone.

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?

    • Very useful as it lead to me applying for and securing a year-long finance placement with Danone.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • Reimbursed for travel and food expenditure as well as staying in a nice hotel near the office paid for by Danone.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Yes plenty of interaction and networking with employees.

    • No formal events were organised but during the week we were always talking to employees and gaining advice from them.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?

    • Yes we had a presentation all about Danone's charity links and projects outside of their normal day to day work.

    • Definitely a great opportunity for anyone interested in a potential career in FMCG or retail.
