  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I really enjoyed the insight. Shoosmiths was exactly as I had expected it to be and more.

    • I felt very valued while at Shoosmiths. Everyone was interested in what I was doing and asked me questions about what I was hoping to achieve.

    • I received guidance and support throughout and never felt that I wasn't being looked after.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • It will really help me with confidence going forward, being within the enviroment and feeling like I would be able to do the job of a trainee and actually enjoy it.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Really well structured. Everything was planned, there were projects for us to complete and had enough work throughout the week to gain valuable experience.

    • Really friendly. Everyone was positive and it was a great enviroment to work in.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • Given that there were well thought out projects and assignments for us to complete I felt like the company invested a lot in us on the vac scheme.

    • I am confident I know exactly what it would be like to work for the firm.

    • It made it very clear that the company culture is exactly what it claims to be on their website.

    • Very valuable as it has made me 100% sure that I want to qualify and that this is somewhere I would love to do it.

    • The pay for one week was really good.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Yes. We were encouraged to meet as many people as possible, something I really feel I took advantage of.

    • Really good. I went for lunch with a number of people from the firm and have been invited to Friday night drinks.

    • Yes. There are so many social clubs and sporting teams to get involved in.

    • Yes, for someone interested in working for a law firm the experience has been very positive.
