    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Loved my year. Was worth taking the year to get the experience. Have met some great people and learnt a lot.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Team where great and so welcoming. They trusted me to get on with the work and took the time to help out when needed.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Really welcoming and supportive and took to time to give feedback. Although extremely busy they made the time to check in every so often which was really appreciated.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • It was very busy at some stages of the year and felt a lot of pressure at some points and could feel the team under a lot of stress but I learnt a lot from it and was never far too much to handle.

    2/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • There was a lot of responsibility and trust given during the placement which gave me the ability to have to work things out and learn on my own though the support was there when needed. Felt like my role was really necessary and valued within the team which was great.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Confirmed what line of work I want to pursue and where I want to take my degree and given me a lot of ideas for my final dissertation. Skills wise it has taught me a lot about working life and environment and will definitely better prepare myself for working life after my degree.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Really great friendly group of people. There was a lot of pressure on a lot of people and the workload got a bit crazy sometimes and could tell people where stressed however every member of the team dealt with it in a great positive way keeping things light hearted and fun when possible.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It got off to a bit of a shaky start. As I was not based with the majority of the rest of the interns I feel like I was forgotten slightly at the start. Had to wait for quite a long time for any 'Welcome pack' and was a long delay in getting added to any intern groups which made the move to London harder. Looking back I should of chased up more.

    3/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I feel like due to the large amount of work required daily and the business of the team I was mostly just doing a job and I never really had the time for different training or development which was a shame.

    1/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 1/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Nothing confirmed and team is quite small and they find it hard to get the head count so unsure of future prospects within that particular team.

    2/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I was based in Chiswick and all other Interns based in Hammersmith so unfortunately I didn't get to meet really any fellow interns. However my team and fellow colleagues got on really well with.

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London living was obviously a lot more expensive and the area around Chiswick also very dear its been hard budgeting on the salary given but doable.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Not much of a nightlife person I would spend more time at sporting activities after work. However the area was lovely and plenty of places to go

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Again as I was based in another office felt like I missed of a lot of activities going on in the main offices.
