  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed the year placement with GM OnStar Europe GCCX, this has set me an great opening platform to my career. Its not only the work environment but also the social aspects were great during the year(team events, meal out etc).

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I very much felt like an full time employee and treated like an normal colleague, was provided with request which is initially requested by hierarchy's. During my year I have never felt or treated like an Placement student.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The managers/team lead were great help and provided an unbelievable support/backing with all my daily tasks. They taught me a huge amount of aspects, these learning's will help me progress in my career and they were ready to help when/if needed.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • It really depends on the day, not every day will be the same. Especially when working in operations sector, unexpected could occur anytime during the day. I got to be ready to priorities and work around with tight schedule. At times I left office at 7-8PM(I didn't have to but I chose to do it).

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was part of new/growing team, I was given full responsibility in the business to work in a function and make decisions. For example, I was given the opportunity to show what I am capable of, this showed the management/team members of my capability and what I could bring to this team.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • This experience will be an immense addition to my CV/Profile going forward, it has been a great year or so working for an global organization. At university I was learning and applying the learnings for an fixed scenario, whereas at placement the scenario and decision are key and will be different on a day to day basis.
