    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • It entailed what I can expect from an engineering role and I was given a lot of responsibilities. It would have also been nice to be involved in some other departments e.g. finance and understand the business as a whole

    • Given lots of responsibilities and my own projects, along with contributions to group projects

    • Guidance was given when asked for it

    • Usually quite busy, but there were some quiet periods where I would be waiting on people to get things done or certain people would be on leave

    • Responsible for quite a few projects

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • Some training was very useful e.g. lean training and intern programme, but some training was for specialist software which I will never use again

    • Laid back and flexible, sometimes people keep to themselves so it can be a bit boring

    • Good flow of projects throughout the year

    • The main training provided was the intern development programmes but they were only 3 days, would like to see more

    • There is a slight divide due to the age gap

    • Oxford clubbing scene is not good
