The Role
I really enjoyed my role as an Application Support Analyst. I was given real responsibility with a supportive manager. Also having the opportunity to travel around different Siemens sites was great.
My manager was so supportive. I did feel really valued by most people.
Monthy 1 to 1s. Also my manager sits opposite myself so I can ask as many questions as I think.
As my role was very reactive I could be fairly quiet getting smaller tasks done then have to deal with a hiccup in the system meaning it would be extremely busy.
I had to deal with many colleagues on a global scale. My responsibility grew as I networked across Siemens which was great as it was gradually increased.
Siemens gave me a real sense of self belief. I am a lot more confident in my abilities now.
The Company
Quiet, however you don't feel judged for talking.
Great training given.
Siemens really want people to come back at graduates.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
I would consider working for Siemens again as I feel a real sense of appreciation for what I do.
The Culture
Other interns in our site were always pushed to get together with other interns and graduates and any other colleagues.
Poole and Bournemouth has rising costs. It is ok.
Quite expensive.
They push charity work and activity nights.
