The Role
I loved my placement, I learnt so much and felt like a valued member of my team.
I was always regarded with the utmost respect, yet was pushed to achieve things I could have never foreseen at the beginning of the year.
My manager, was one of my greatest supports during my time on placement, communication was always clear and guidance provided when necessary. I was always able to highlight any concerns and they would be discussed.
ASOS is incredibly fast-paced in every way, that's the nature of the beast, the good and the bad.
By the end of my placement I had far more responsibility than I could have ever predicted! I was really pleased and proud with how far that I had come because I was entrusted with so much.
As a first experience in a professional work environment, I think it has equipped me with skills that I will draw from for the rest of my career.
The Company
Professional, the subject matter we were dealing with was often serious, we would laugh and joke but we were there to get a job done. H owever, Friday drinks were always fun and boy do ASOS know how to throw a party!
Incredibly well organised, we had specific intern sessions to attend, and there was always support available external to my immediate team.
The team put a lot of time into the advancement of your skill in industry specific information, but the L&D team were always striving to develop other areas too.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
I was fortunate enough to be offered a job for when I graduate and I can't wait to go back!
The Culture
Yeah, I've definitely made friends for life
London is expensive, however Friday drinks always took the edge off
You're in central London so there is always somewhere to go!
They had some societies but these weren't very clear or well advertised.
