    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • This has been an incredible experience and I will be sad to leave my role, the company and my colleagues.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My Line Manager was consistently respectful, kind and inspiring during my placement, although some colleagues in other positions within my department did take advantage of my position within the company and request menial tasks be filled out and expect unrealistic results due to their own inexperience.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My Line Manager ensured I was comfortable with coming to her for help an if she felt like an action would be too difficult she took time to explain the process so I was able to complete it to my full ability.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I learnt to manage my own work load well and had consistently stimulating and enjoyable work days. I was never expected to stay after 5.30 and my manager was understanding with how I worked best and respected that.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • In this role I was given the opportunity to take on the amount of responsibility I felt comfortable with. As my confidence grew I gradually took on more responsibility in different areas of the communication team and my line manager always made it clear that if I was struggling or felt I needed help and guidance she was available. Likewise, if I expressed an interest in an area that was alien to me she always did her best to help me explore new roles.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I have learnt in PR will not only aid me in completing my Publishing with English degree, I also feel I am best placed in applying for jobs in PR once I leave University.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The majority of employees are friendly and approachable however the office itself is quite quiet and it can be difficult to form strong friendships with others as individuals socialise only with those in their own department.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • I felt welcomed on my arrival with a clear desk and computer space so I was able to settle in well. Due to having two different offices of the UK and International market however this did result in miscommunication occasionally and I did feel lost at times.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company made every effort to provide training days and development courses online throughout my time here and Interns were not excluded from any opportunity permanent members of staff had.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    Working from home

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Unfortunately Graduate Opportunities are not available in the department I am currently working in - for this reason I will be unable to return to the company.

    1/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • 1/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Food and Drink matched the London price surge.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The Office has been relocated to East Croydon. During the majority of my Internship there was little to few spaces to enjoy after work, however, Box Park has now opened in the area which has made it a lot more desirable/

    1/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • 1/5
