    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of being involved with Warner Bros., from the everyday tasks to working with my team and other members of the company, to the social side with the other interns working there.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Very much so. Colleagues would always be sure to show appreciation for work done well, particularly those within the team / department.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Weekly 1-2-1's with my manager which involved a catch-up, glance at work over the upcoming week, as well as checking on my 'CHAT' progress (which in turn looks at my development as a whole over the year).

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Work was manageable, and as you went through the year more projects get added to your schedule. It is up to you as an employee to ask for more work if you feel as though you can handle more.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Way more than expected. By the end of the year I was given the opportunity to project manage 2 releases, as well as having a large role in the remaining releases from early in the Placement Year.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Very much so. Warner Bros. gave me a great chance to learn technical skills as well as qualitative skills which will assist me after university.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Very friendly with lots of open communication. Managers can be easily approached at all times for guidance. As well as friendly employees in general, and a lot of other interns close by to interact with, there are also many opportunities to get closer to everyone at the start of the year.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Seamless aside from some issues with getting set-up on finance systems etc.. this can be fixed very early on in the year though.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Multiples HR-led training events were useful, but the CHAT system which is done 1-on-1 with a manager is definitely the main driver behind this (although this may vary in other roles depending on the manager you have).

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Sports and Social Club

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    Travel loan

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Warner Bros. does not offer a grad scheme, but many of the employees in the department are former interns, and when you leave you're put on a mailing list for new job offers.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • With around 50 other interns it's very easily to socialise even if you don't decide to live in London for the year. The Marketing Department is especially packed with other interns.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Living / commuting is expensive, socialising is obviously more expensive than at university but still very manageable.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Always plenty to do, even if it is expensive at times.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Screenings, premieres, fitness classes, company days and more..

    5/5
