    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The placement is great! Warner Bros is a real learning environment with vibrant friendly, people who are experts in what they do. I was given the perfect amount of responsibility where I felt valued but still had time to enjoy some of the perks that come with the job.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My colleagues were always very supporting throughout my placement, were happy to help and answer and questions I had. There's a very fun social scene at WB too.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Support was always there whenever I needed it. I am a very independent person so it was nice to be given tasks and the freedom to put my own spin on it and work on them at my pace

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • How busy I was varied massively depending on what was releasing each week. On week's where there was a film releasing it gets very, very busy which is great. On week's where there are no releases it's time to just catch up on work. I think the balance actually works quite well.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given lots of responsibility and felt a part of the team

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • As an economics student the work I did on sales analysis and monitoring trailer impacts will be very beneficial in my degree. Also, the exposure to the work environment will be great for future employment

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • There is a very friendly, fun atmosphere in the office. There's regular screenings and events that keeps everyone happy. There is a real sense of camaraderie between the departments as well so you get to meet a lot of people.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The internship is more of job role than other internships. You are not 'just the intern', there is real responsibility with job which makes moving around and seeing other departments slightly difficult . However, there are regular training sessions and meet-ups to keep you on track.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There were regular training sessions and workshops and I was sent on an advanced excel course

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    Travel loan

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • There's no official grad scheme so they can't offer a job for when my uni course ends but the company do historically take on lots of former interns.

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The scene is incredible, we went out every week and attended premieres and screenings together. As well as that, there were lots of meet-ups on weekends. With over 50 interns there's always something happening

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • 3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Central London is great for nightlife, there's an abundance of bars and clubs. However, it is quite pricey as an intern so you do often have to venture out of the centre for a better value night out.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Being a film company there are always screenings to go to and often drinks after work. Thee isn't loads organised by the company but in individuals teams there's often lots going on

    5/5
