  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed the placement, particular going on site to clients.

  • Immediately felt part of the team, impressed with how much effort others made to get me involved with everything.

  • When I was doing work for someone, they were always available for questions; but I still felt I was maintaining my independence.

  • I was kept very busy, which I was pleased about.

  • I felt an appropriate balance was reached, gaining responsbility without being given work I couldn't handle.

  • I learnt a lot of new skills on the placement, many of which I hope will be useful this year and in the future.

  • Very friendly atmosphere, I attended a few social events.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well organised, as shown by the amount of time I spent out at clients and how much work was arranged for me to do.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I was able to do some work shadowing in another department, as well as with a partner and business development manager. The feedback meeting halfway through my placement was also very informative.

  • I have accepted the offer of a job with KPMG for when I have finished university.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Quite different from that experienced in London but good nonetheless.

  • The placement was in my local area, with living costs and socialising costs kept low.

  • It is very similar to my experiences of socialising at home.

  • I was pleased with other, non-work aspects that were available to me during my placement.
