The Role
It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and everyone worked very hard to make sure me and the other interns made the most of it
The intern group was very tight, and my project and student mentors would make my project feel worthwhile. I did not really feel part of a team though.
My project and student mentors were there for anything I needed.
Busy enough the entire way through. Would have been good if my PC was set up before I got there.
Just set on my project and working away at that every day. Responsible for myself.
I learnt a huge amount about working in a workplace in general, and many buffs on my JavaScript skills etc
The Company
I learnt that I am not a fan of cubicles at all. They just isolate you. We had nice cake cutting ceremonies though.
Had to spend the first week or so setting up my computer...
Very thorough induction sessions, was relied on to fulfil tasks.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
International Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
They gave me a really great insight but my ambitions lie elsewhere.
The Culture
The intern group was very tight and we would travel every weekend and go out many nights a week..
I will really miss having a full day's great food for the same price as one meal is here.
Good enough but it took at least an hour to drive into the city....
Countless workshops and opportunities to do new things. We could ask HR for workshops if we wanted.
