    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Really enjoyed my year at Pernod Ricard. I have met some great people and improved numerous skills I will use both when I return to University, and later in life.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt like an important member of the team; I was not made to feel like the 'intern'.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Whenever I required help with anything I was never afraid or embarrassed to ask my manager or another memeber of the management team.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • During month end my days can be extremely busy and sometimes I have to stay later. But in contrast, mid-month the days can be quite chilled so it evens out.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I feel like I am given a lot of responsibility, but not too much. I am incharge of quite a few reports which I send to the wider business so I need to make sure the numbers are also correct.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • My skills on Excel have improved dramatically. This will not just help me with future jobs but also with my degree. My communicational skills and other general skills you do you learn at University have improved massivvely over the course of the year.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Always a pleasant atmosphere aroind the office. Not only were my team friendly but members of other teams I rarely work with are always welcoming and friendly.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It was very good; I have never felt like lost or without something to do.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Not a huge amount in terms of training to do with my job. But I did have some team building exercises etc.

    3/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Sports and Social Club

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    Above 25 days holiday

    Working from home

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • There is not a grad scheme so future employment here is not guarenteed. However, I have seen that past interns have been able to come back and work here so that does give me hope.

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The other interns and I got on very well; meeting up outside of work regulary. I also had a good relationship with my team and would occasionally do stuff outside of work with them.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Obviously with it being in London, the cost of socialising was very high - but this was expected.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • There are many bars around, and the business park is located right by the underground with easy access to Central London

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • I always saw activities being advertised around the office.

    3/5
