The Role
I enjoyed my placement thoroughly as I felt challenged and there was a lot to aim for as well. I thought the placement offered lots of promotional roles and the students were treated similarly to the full time workers.
I felt very valued and appreciated by my colleagues as I received a lot of help and support during my starting period at Astute.
Management and Supervision was excellent as they helped me excel in the business and gain a better understanding of the role as well.
It was a great balance between the hours worked and the hours we got off which allowed me to balance my time carefully with my university work as well.
I was given plenty of responsibility at my time in Astute from training new starters and helping them settle in. The balance between responsibility given allowed me to build my leadership skills as well increase my own.
I am learned valuable skills for life which I am hoping that I will be able to use upon my return to university and also once I have finished my degree I am hoping I can transfer the skills I have learnt to my future career.
The Company
The general atmosphere within the workplace was excellent as they was a good mix of age groups within. Everyone was extremely friendly and more then willing to help people who were struggling or needing more assistance.
The placement was organised very well and was exactly as described by recruitment when I first started working there. There was various tasks to do during the day which was set to you before the day started by your managers to ensure no problems arose during working hours.
The company offered all forms to training to strengthen my skills from compulsory sessions to voluntary ones. Every campaign I worked on I was offered full training before hand so I was not left in the dark regarding the topic.

Future employments within the business are excellent as theres always an opportunity to excel and get promoted. After hitting all the agent levels there as option to work towards a managerial role which is a great incentive for any future candidate.
The Culture
All the fellow placement students were extremely social as we spent a lot of time together doing various activities including sports and nights out.
The rent for housing within Bournemouth is of great value for a student as you are able to rent a flat very close to work at a really good rate. No council tax is needed to be paid as being a student exempts you from that and social activities within Bournemouth are very cheap and can easily be done on your salary.
The nightlife in Bournemouth has been one of my favourites as they are ample amounts of bars and clubs. There is a wide variety of music available as well suited to anyone.
Astute held many charity events and incentives outside of work so there was a lot of opportunity to get involved with everyone outside of work to either raise money or just have a good time.
